At Sex Toy Insiders, trust is everything. This page explains how we evaluate products, assign scores, and determine rankings — and why you can rely on our recommendations.

Independence First

Our editorial team operates independently from our business relationships. While we earn commissions through affiliate links, no brand or retailer can pay for a favorable review, higher score, or better ranking placement. Period.

How We Score Products

Each product receives an Editor Score on a 1–10 scale based on the following criteria:

• Design & Build Quality (25%): Materials, craftsmanship, body-safe certifications, and overall aesthetics.
• Performance (25%): Power, vibration patterns, noise level, and effectiveness for its intended purpose.
• Ease of Use (20%): Controls, charging, cleaning, storage, and accessibility for beginners.
• Value (20%): Price relative to competitors, warranty, and included accessories.
• User Feedback (10%): Aggregated ratings and reviews from verified buyers across multiple retailers.

How Rankings Work

Our "Top 10" and category ranking lists are compiled by comparing Editor Scores within a category, then factoring in price, user satisfaction, and recent availability. Rankings are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect new products and updated pricing.

Product Selection

We feature products from a variety of retailers and brands. Products are selected based on popularity, editorial interest, reader requests, and category coverage. Brands cannot pay to be included in our catalog.

Corrections & Updates

If we make an error, we correct it promptly and note the update. If a product is discontinued or significantly changes, we update or remove the review. Readers can report issues through our Contact page.
